Giannis Antetokounmpo, the blue eyed wonder?

Okay, so we’ve already established that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best. By the end of last season, nearly every single person who followed basketball and had a Twitter dot com account was in love with the Greek youngster. It didn’t even have so much to do with what he did on the court–though his occasional bursts of absurd athleticism certainly didn’t hurt–he was just fun.

There were fun stories about his family, fun stories about him adapting to Milwaukee and fun stories about how he isn’t even done growing yet. Well now we have another Giannis anecdote to add to the ever growing list about our boy.

Giannis’ eyes are now blue. No, I’m serious, his eyes changed color the other day.

Look, here’s an Instagram picture from a few months ago. His eyes are pretty clearly brown.

According to Wikipedia, the ultimate source of knowledge, eyes can sometimes change color but usually it happens when people are babies.

So either Giannis is playing a hoax on us and put in blue contacts, or he is a fun basketball alien sent from another planet. I have pondered this situation and concluded that those are the only two explanations. And in my expert opinion, fun basketball alien is the more likely scenario.
