… a tattoo in honor of their grandma! ESPN.com has the video with the announcement (h/t to the Arizona Republic for sharing the link to the video):
All three options were fine choices, but the grandma tattoo seemed like the clear winner from the very beginning. The FOE design is solid, and it expresses much of the same sentiment — “Family Over Everything” — but I’m honestly not sure that everyone who voted was familiar with the acronym. That probably cost that particular option a fair segment of the vote, which this writer is personally going to blame on hanging chads.
Dogs are awesome, of course, but when it comes down to showing your grandma love or showing your dogs love, and in permanent ink no less, grandma’s going to win that one 11 times out of 10. So with FOE clouded in obscurity and the underdogs never standing a chance, grandma reigns supreme.
