Dwyane Wade is Releasing Dexter Themed Shoes

NBA players look to a lot of places for design ideas for their signature shoes. There has been Kevin Durant shoes with a rose print to honor his Aunt Pearl, the LeBron James IronMan 3 shoes, and I’m sure plenty more. Now Dwyane Wade has joined the fun by helping to design his newest pair of shoes with inspiration from the hit TV show “Dexter.”

For those that aren’t aware Dexter was a show that ran from 2006-2013 on the Showtime Network about an employee of the Miami Metro Police Department who became a serial killer of criminals who haven’t been taken care of by the justice system. Fans of Dexter will recognize the trademark blood spatter on both the inside of the tongue, the logo and the heel of the show as well as the word Dexter underneath Wade’s self-proclaimed nickname Way of Wade (WOW) on the tongue. The shoe should be pretty popular with NBA fan’s who also enjoy Dexter but those without a tie to the show may shy away with the amount of “blood” that grows towards the top of the shoe.

At the very least Wade has taken the shoe colorway game to another level with the shoes modeled after a show about a serial killer. Now to see who tries to one-up him.

Hopefully that person is Chris Bosh with a Parks and Recreation inspired pair. Then we would all win.
