BAE Index, 1/12/15: Dame delivers a dagger dunk
By Ian Levy
Welcome back to the BAE Index.
Damian Lillard’s dagger dunk
Holy cow. Even though he’s a point guard, Dame is low key one of the best in-game dunkers around. He’s right up there with Westbrook in their fearlessness to attack the basket no matter who or what is in their way. Don’t hurt ’em, Dame!
Kyle Korver’s behind-the-back pass
Woooo, okay Kyle, okay. This reminded me of that sick Rondo play from a few years back, where he jumped up into the air and totally faked out LeBron before dumping if off to Tony Allen for the dunk. That was sick. So was this.
Tony Allen and Marc Gasol celebrating on the bench
Aww, look at Tony and Marc. I don’t think there’s any better teammate than Tony Allen. He seems like he would just always be there for you no matter what, pumping you up, picking you up when you’re down, whatever. Also, Marc’s little point at the camera at the end is great.
The Blazers’ beautiful passing
This was basketball at its finest. This is the vision Dr. Naismith had when he invented the game, this is what coaches dream about when they stress sharing the ball in practice, this is beauty, this is art, this is joy.
Darren Collison to Rudy Gay alley-oop
Oh hey Kangzzzz. Nice little alley-oop you got there. And some good wins over the Thunder and Cavs recently too. Really a shame you guys were a mess for like a month there.
