facebooktwitterreddit

Welcome back to the Friendly Bounce Belt, our weekly power rankings of awesome moments in the NBA. Last week Rajon Rondo took home the title for his great week, which included a brilliant performance in his emotional return to Boston. Let’s see who took home the title this week.

The Champion: Trevor Booker and his overhead tip shot

In one of the most unlikeliest and surprising scenarios, it’s Trevor Booker who takes home the Friendly Bounce Belt this week, thanks to his unbelievable overhead tip shot a few days ago against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Booker doesn’t play all that much for the Utah Jazz, but he’s a serviceable backup big, and he took advantage of his time the other day. It was a trick shot for the ages, like something you’d see out of a hokey kids movie, but Booker got it to go, and so he deserves the belt.

The Contenders:

Stan Van Gundy’s quote

JUST FORM A F****** WALL!!! SVG is here to yell crazy things in the huddle and chew bubblegum, and he’s alllllllll out of bubblegum.

Kyle Korver throwing a ridiculous behind-the-back pass

Korver isn’t really known for his passing ability, rather his sharpshooting from three. Like, seriously, passing is one of the last things you would think about when discussing Korver’s basketball skills. But I guess he’s pretty good at it?

Steph Curry’s ESPN commercial

Hahaha, “who was that guy?” ESPN continues to put out very solid commercials.

Brandon Jennings’ game-winner

The Pistons’ win over the Spurs during their incredible streak was one of the most surprising victories of the season, and it wouldn’t have been possible without this nifty floater from young Jennings.

Jason’s Stan Van Gundy/Bill O’Reilly mashup

The internet wins again. The dynasty continues, y’all die.

Nick Young’s quote

Swaggy P will never stop going in.

The Blazers’ brilliant passing display

Sneaking in at the buzzer, the Blazers delivered a brilliant display of passing, skipping it around the court with great speed and precision.
