K.J. McDaniels emerged fairly early last season as one of the league’s most Vineable rookies. So, the 76ers did the only reasonable thing they could, and shipped him out of town as soon as possible. McDaniels wound up on the talent-laden Rockets, and was unfortunately buried on the bench for a large chunk of the season’s second half.

But now it’s preseason, which means guys that may otherwise struggle to find minutes are given a stage to show what they can do. Fortunately for the rest of us, that means extended exposure to K.J. McDaniels and his ridiculous hops (Vine via James Herbert):

Yep, K.J. can still fly! He finishes this oop with his head nearly crushing the rim, which is just about peak K.J. McDaniels. He also almost punched Sam Dalembert right in the face during the celebration, which may have added some style points to an already-stellar jam.

Here’s hoping he can find a way to crack Houston’s rotation, if for no other reason than to supply us with some exceptional #jams.
