Kristaps Porzingis reminds Victor Oladipo that he is taking over the league
Kristaps Porzingis has been a revaluation as a rookie so far this season with the New York Knicks. Between rebounding way better than anyone expected, destroying people on putback dunks and generally carrying the Knicks this Knicks alongside Carmelo Anthony this season, Porzingis has given Knicks fans hope they haven’t had in years and started his eventual takeover of the league that will be complete when he regrows his cornrows.
Apparently Victor Oladipo has not been on the internet recently as he decided that his best chance at an easy basket tonight was to drive right at Porzingis and dunk. Porzingas showed him how bad an idea that was.

A blocked dunk is always a great play but the two-handed block is just incredible. There is a special kind of destruction of the offensive player’s hopes and dreams present in those types of blocks that is captured perfectly here. Oladipo went to the rim full of great ideas that ended with a poster and some momentum for the Magic and as he starts to head to the ground without the ball or points there is just a feeling of it all going away.
Luckily for the rest of the league this just serves as a warning. Kristaps won’t accept you dunking on his rim when he is near and if you try you run the risk of losing your game. Porzingis was nice this time but he won’t be next time.
