Kobe Bryant Hooked LeBron James Up With Another Pair of Shoes

For those keeping score at home, LeBron James now owes Kobe Bryant two pairs of shoes.

Ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 120-111 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, LeBron recalled the time when Kobe gave the King’s 16-year-old self a pair of his signature Adidas shoes. That was back in 2002, and LeBron no longer has possession of that gift for undisclosed reasons.

Fast forward to Wednesday night, following Cleveland’s win, and Kobe hooked LeBron up with yet another pair of his kicks—only this time they were game-worn Nikes, and he signed them:

You know what this means, right? Assuming Kobe didn’t suck the sweat out of his sneaker lining, LeBron now owns his DNA. It shouldn’t be long before he clones Bean for a J.R. Smith replacement.

LeBron needn’t take this display of generosity lightly. Even swan-song Kobe doesn’t give his shoes to just anyone; only Kevin Durant, Paul George and Draymond Green.

And now LeBron, who hopefully, unlike last time, won’t lose or sell or re-gift or incinerate the foot swag Kobe so selflessly bequeathed him.
