As the NBA regular season starts to roll to its end, the majority of teams are already planning fishing trips after not making the NBA Playoffs. While serious season eulogies are going on over at Hardwood Paroxysm, we here at The Friendly Bounce are taking a look at the important part of each team’s season as we bid them farewell, the fun stuff. So enjoy and feel free to add your entries to each category in the comments below and follow along with the entire series over the next two weeks.

For the Washington Wizards the 2015-2016 season wasn’t about just the playoffs. Washington was supposed to easily make those behind John Wall and a new small ball approach that helped them upset the Toronto Raptors in last season’s playoffs. Instead it was about winning enough in the playoffs to convince Kevin Durant that Washington was the place he needed to be in the long-term, that they were ready to contend for NBA titles as long as he joined the roster. They failed. Badly.

Most Vineable Player:

Ryne Prinz (@Ryneprinz): It’s John Wall. Wall manages to make absurd cross-court passes and wrap-around layups all while moving at the speed of light.

Dan Favale (@danfavale): There is only John Wall. He is the only thing that makes the Wizards even kind of aesthetically appealing. His drives are explosive, and his vision on the move, in traffic, while at seemingly impossible angles, is just absurd.

Taylor Smith (@TaylorBojangles): Marcin Gortat is probably the Wizards’ most fun player off the court, but John Wall is clearly Most Vineable. The ridiculous speeds with which he can move with the ball make the other nine guys out there look like they’re moving at half-speed.

Chris Barnewall (@ChrisBarnewall): The easy answer is John Wall, but may I throw in Drew Gooden? No? Okay, John Wall.

Matt Cianfrone (@Matt_Cianfrone): John Wall is responsible for just about every fun thing that happens with the Wizards on the floor. This was easy.

10 Word Recaps:

There’s still a chance Durant is coming to Washington, right? (Ryne)

Forget KD. Maxing out Nicolas Batum was always our plan. (Dan)

“Can’t make the playoffs in the East? I’m in!” -KD (Taylor)

Alright here comes playoff Wittman! Wait, the season’s over already? (Chris)

The magical, nonsensical Wittman run never came. (Matt)

Turns out everyone getting hurt makes life really hard. (Matt)
