In what was predicted to be a fairly competitive series, the Oklahoma City Thunder have taken a comfortable 3-1 lead over the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs haven’t given up hope yet, as they have put up a good fight, even if to no avail. There have been several instances of confrontation, from Charlie Villanueva hindering the Thunder’s pregame dance to Raymond Felton and Steven Adams getting into it. The competitiveness has continued off the court, as Salah Mejri gave some awesome quotes.

These may seem like empty words from a rookie role-player, but Mejri’s had an impact on this series, especially on defense. He’s averaging 1.3 blocks in 19 minutes, per Basketball Reference. Not only do these quotes highlight Salah’s confidence in himself, but they also heighten the intensity of the series. You know Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are going to come out on Monday night prepared, but Mejri will certainly be up to the challenge.
