Patrick Beverley dominates kids in 1-on-1 because of course

For the most part it is hard to say that many of the Houston Rockets actually cared about playing basketball this season. Houston was constantly trying to do as little as possible to win games, led by their superstar James Harden. One player who never gave less than 100 percent though was guard Patrick Beverley, a player that no one ever will mistake for someone who doesn’t care.

Now that the Rockets season is over, Beverley needs to find something else to do with his time, and in true Beverley fashion it turns out that, that thing is dominating kids in 1-on-1 at the park.

That poor girl stood no chance against Bev. Immediately he went to the post to exploit his size advantage, swatted shots away without a care in the world and picked her pocket. Really the only thing that would make this more Patrick Beverley is if he made a hustle play that may or may not have been dirty and hurt her. That said I am glad that he didn’t do that.

Now if only Beverley could get the rest of the Rockets to play this hard on a normal night. Then we all probably wouldn’t hate everything about that team next season.

Huge h/t to the guys over at NBA Reddit for the find.
