Richard Jefferson is retiring to become an essay writer

Lost amid the championship celebration for the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night was the fact that one key member of their rotation decided to retire from the NBA after a long career winding career that saw him land in many places. That player was Richard Jefferson who surprised a ton of gathered media when he made the announcement in the middle of campaign showers and hugs.

meaning he is incredibly happy and playful. Jefferson starts with complimenting the Warriors for their play in the series before transitioning over to his retirement, teammates and post NBA career plans.

"I’m glad you brought up my essay. I felt like it was well written. It was well done. And that is what I am going to do when I retire. I am just going to write essays. I don’t know what they are going to be. They might be erotic. I don’t know. But I am just going to write lots of essays."

His one over at The Players Tribune was pretty good so he definitely should continue to write. Especially if he is going to continue this goofy type of tone. That could lead to some really fun stuff.
