Have you ever wondered if Steven Adams knows the second verse and chorus to “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys? Let’s find out.

He does. Oh lord does he.

Take your time. Watch it more than once. It gets better. Somehow Andre Roberson looks more and more uncomfortable every time. I think on my twelfth viewing he actually escaped through the window.

More from NBA

So now it’s question time.

Why can’t Steven Adams find a larger mode of transportation? And why is Adams of all people sitting in the middle seat? Why didn’t the original Backstreet Boys music video have that cool move that Adams does where he pulls his hands away to symbolize being “two worlds apart?” How could Kevin Durant think that the Warriors and the chance for an NBA championship is more desirable than being a part of this? Is Steven Adams trying to look like Billy Crudup in Almost Famous?

It’s really hard to write words when this video keeps playing on repeat, but I don’t dare stop. This time Roberson turned to vapor and sublimated out of existence.

This is the fun part of the car trip. I would like another video of a half hour later. You know, that point when everyone has become tired and sore. And Crowded House comes on because they’re in New Zealand. So Adams attempts another singalong, but Roberson doesn’t know the words because he’s not from New Zealand. And Adams makes some quip about how they should start a Karaoke Team called Crowded Car singing only Crowded House songs, but only one person agrees and then they talk about that for a while while everyone else just looks out the window.

And Roberson just keeps counting down kilometers to the next rest stop. But the rest stop is closed. So the group keeps driving. Then, Roberson wonders why Adams just didn’t wear a shirt with sleeves so he doesn’t keep getting brushed by armpit when Adams points and is all “look at that tree, Andre!” And Andre just puts in his earbuds to try and ride it out in his own world. And Adams is all “Hey we can plug in your phone if you want.” And Andre pretends he doesn’t hear him.

Next: Steven Adams grew his hair out because he is cheap

Tell me why we didn’t get that video.
