Jaylen Brown is an interesting guy. On the court, Brown is a crazy athletic ball of energy that lacks a definite position. Off the court, Brown is an incredibly intelligent person who by all accounts is always trying to learn. He also apparently loves Scooby-Doo.

While meeting Scooby and the gang would be cool, trying to think of Brown’s new Celtics teammates as the gang is cooler. The only problem with that is that I don’t know much about the show. Luckily, Wikipedia is around to help. So based on the Wikipedia description of the characters I tried to find their Celtics counterparts.

More from NBA

Scooby: Scooby is the leader of the crew which makes the easy answer to this one Brad Stevens. Stevens also fits because like Scooby talking he can do things other coaches can’t. Like make people think the Celtics are contenders.

Shaggy: Wikipedia calls Shaggy a cowardly slacker more interested in eating than solving mysteries so I was originally going off that.  Jared Sullinger was the easy answer, but he signed with the Raptors in the offseason. Trying to find that with the remaining players is hard. So instead Kelly Olynyk gets the nod because he kind of looks like Shaggy.

Fred: Apparently Fred gets confused and distracted often so this was an easy choice. I mean have you seen Gerald Green try to make a defensive rotation?

Daphne: Per Wikipedia, Daphne was the character who developed most over the course of the series. She also is tougher than she looks. Isaiah Thomas it is.

Velma: She is the smartest one of the group and the one that often figures out the mystery and saves the group. Sometimes Fred and Daphne help her. This sounds exactly like why the Celtics signed Al Horford.
