Paul George buys tickets for Tamika Catchings’ final game

Tamika Catchings is going to be retiring this year. This is sad news. There’s no way to make it not sad. Looking back on her accomplishments is nice, and she has many, but it doesn’t change the fact that we’re going to have to say goodbye. Well, Paul George is going to make sure that goodbye is done properly.

More from NBA

In an article on NBA.com, it was announced that Paul George will be purchasing 5,000 tickets to Tamika Catchings’ final regular season game. These tickets will be given out to fans in an effort to make sure Catchings is sent off in front of a sellout Indiana Fever crowd. I’d like to make the proclamation that this is awesome, and he is awesome for doing it. And it would be awesome to cheer on an awesome player one last awesome time.

Are you going to be in Indianapolis? Are you a bit short on the cash to grab some tickets yourself? You’re in luck. Starting noon on Friday, you can pick your seats up (Not literally. Don’t do that.) at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office. Or you can also go there to buy tickets if your heart tells you to. Hearts are good sources of information.

Catchings will be retiring as a ten-time all star, a six-time All-WNBA elect, a four-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and a career-long member of the Indiana Fever. She will be missed in the league, but with a game on Sunday and a clinched playoff spot, we don’t have to miss her yet.
