Kyle Lowry has emerged as an All-Star caliber point guard with the Toronto Raptors, and last year helped lead them to their greatest season in franchise history. Of course, he couldn’t have done

that by himself and needed some help from quality role players. In comes everybody’s favorite storyline from last year’s playoffs, Bismack Biyombo, and we got a pairing that helped Toronto fight their way to the Eastern Conference Finals. Biyombo was incredible, swatting shots everywhere and was a big part of the Raptors stealing two wins from Cleveland before falling in six games. Thanks to that performance Biyombo entered this offseason looking to get paid, and that’s exactly what happened when the Orlando Magic gave him a 4-year $72 million deal. Lowry was not the happiest person in the world when he heard the news.

Biyombo is one of those guys that fans fall in love with, and it looks like players do too, because Lowry clearly had a great relationship with the big man. His personality, and fun play style, fill you with an energy that just makes the day better. Although, crying does seem like a little much and Lowry must have realized that too, because he added a big ole resounding WELP at the end of his statement.

Don’t worry Lowry, the Raptors should still be a good team this year and the Magic play the Raptors four times this year so you should be able to see Biyombo at least a few times. Now dry up those tears! It’s media day and you need to smile for those pictures!
